Waiting on Wednesday {15}

Jill @ Breaking the Spine hosts this weekly meme where we can share a book that we are so excited for and are anxiously awaiting their upcoming release!

This week my WoW pick is...

The Lost Code (The Atlanteans #1) by Kevin Emerson

This is an EXCITING new May 2012 release from HarperCollins and I am literally SQUIRMING in anticipation for it already! It sounds like something really different, and filled with excitement and adventure in what sounds like a post-apocolyptic world. I really do feel that this one has a lot of promise in it, and I can't wait to see how it ends up!

Goodreads Synopsis:
WHAT IS OLDEST WILL BE NEW, WHAT IS LOST SHALL BE FOUND.

The ozone is ravaged, ocean levels have risen, and the sun is a daily enemy. But global climate change is not something new in the Earth’s history.

No one will know this better than less-than-ordinary Owen Parker, who is about to discover that he is the descendant of a highly advanced ancient race—a race that took their technology too far and almost destroyed the Earth in the process.

Now it is Owen’s turn to make right in his world what went wrong thousands of years ago. If Owen can unlock the lost code in his very genes, he may rediscover the forgotten knowledge of his ancestry…and that less-than-ordinary can evolve into extraordinary.

So what are your thoughts? Have you heard of this book yet? Does it sound like something you'd be interested in reading?

Make sure to share your WoW post with me in the comments so I can visit! :)

The book is also in a boy's perspective. I think we need more books written in boy's perspective for YA these days. Great pick! Can't wait to read it and thank you for stopping by!

Oooohhhh, this one sounds SO COOL!! I'm a total environmentalist girl so I just LOVE the mentions of global climate change and such (and how technology is destroying our world, because that's definitely important!), and now I want to add this one to my TBR list! LOL! x)

Awesome pick for your WOW, Brenna! Now we can wait on this one together!! :)

I also love how the girl on the cover isn't wearing a dress considering that's what the cover art consists of for most covers these days. totally adding this one to my TBR list asap.
