Burn Bright Giveaway!

"Listen well, baby bats. Burn bright, but do not stray from the paths. Remember, when you live in a place of darkness you also live with creatures of the dark..."

Have you heard of the Night Creatures series by Marianne de Pierres?

I'd been eyeing Burn Bright (the first book) for weeks before I finally caved and ordered it- all the way from Australia. (you can already read my review HERE for it! It got 5 stars from me!)

Burn Bright is published by Random House Australia but is currently unavailable overe here on our side of the world.

I was not disappointed when I read it. Burn Bright is fabulous- the story is so creepy and dark, yet enticing all at the same time. Kind of like Ixioin.

Maybe I just haven't read enough books, but Burn Bright was unlike anything I've ever read.

The sad part is that there aren't any plans (as of now) to bring Burn Bright to the US/Canada, although it will be published in Turkey fairly soon. So to hold you over until then, I'm offering a copy of Burn Bright to one lucky winner from the US or Canada (because I ordered an extra copy! See how much I love all of you?)

SERIOUSLY THOUGH, YOU GUYS WANT THIS.

But for those of you who are cautious, or just haven't heard about this book before, I'm including some book related content to get you all excited.

Burn Bright has a fabulous webpage here that you can check out.
You can also read more about it on Goodreads (where you can see all the great reviews it's been getting).
I'm also including the book trailer at the bottom of this post from the website.

BUT WAIT- there's more!

Strangemore has an interview with Marianne de Pierres, along with her campaign to Bring Burn Bright to the US (can I add Canada to this?)! Link up your reviews, sign the petition, spread the word - right HERE.

Finally, the summary from Goodreads for you (just to give you a tiny idea of what it's about):
Into a world of wild secrets and deadly pleasures comes a girl whose innocence may be her greatest strength.

In Ixion music and party are our only beliefs. Darkness is our comfort. We have few rules but they are absolute . . .

Retra doesn’t want to go to Ixion, the island of ever-night, ever-youth and never-sleep. Retra is a Seal – sealed minds, sealed community. She doesn’t crave parties and pleasure, experience and freedom.

But her brother Joel left for Ixion two years ago, and Retra is determined to find him. Braving the intense pain of her obedience strip to escape the only home she’s ever known, Retra stows away on the barge that will take her to her brother.

When she can’t find Joel, Retra finds herself drawn deeper into the intoxicating world of Ixion. Come to me, whispers a voice in her head. Who are the Ripers, the mysterious guardians of Ixion? What are the Night Creatures Retra can see in the shadows? And what happens to those who grow too old for Ixion?

Retra will find that Ixion has its pleasures, but its secrets are deadly. Will friendship, and the creation of an eternal bond with a Riper, be enough to save her from the darkness?

Now for the giveaway. All you need to do is be a follower and comment on a review. Super easy, super quick and you're done! Giveaway ends on August 29, 2011 at 11:59 p.m. EST. You can also tweet once per day for extra entries.

I would be freaking out right now if I hadn't just ordered this book for myself from Australia! : ) I'm anxiously waiting for it to appear in my mailbox!!!

For anyone that doesn't win & wants to read this book, you can get free shipping at Fishpondworld.com ... it's still more expensive that US YA (especially if you're used to Amazon prices, lol) but at least the shipping doesn't double the price of the book now! : )

Early congrats to the winner! After the great reviews I've seen, I'm SO impatient for my copy to get here!!!
